The newly built integrated comprehensive school presents itself as a future-oriented educational centre with the possibility of expansion. The three-storey structure organises the classrooms along a central corridor, slightly offset to create spatial dynamics. The school consists of 90 self-supporting modules, each 3 metres wide and 7 metres long, with each classroom comprising three of these elements. Structural details such as side walls made of cross-laminated timber and beams made of “BauBuche” allow for an open room design. The outer shell of rough-sawn Douglas fir boards emphasises the ecological orientation of the building.
