In Leipzig, where the need for social infrastructure is keeping pace with the city’s growth, a four-form school was built in just one year thanks to modular timber construction. The use of wood gives the façade and interior an exceptional visual and tactile quality. The U-shaped, three-storey school building not only offers space for 672 pupils, but also a calm learning environment thanks to a sheltered school forecourt. In addition to classrooms, the building includes an assembly hall and a canteen, with each standard classroom consisting of four modules totalling 70 m².
