HOCOMP School Bisamstraße-Landsbergstraße
The basic concept of the building is based on a modular building complex in which individual structures or building wings are joined in different ways by means of rotations and reflections to generate overall structures with different extensions and orientations. These can respond to different plot layouts and property types.
The wings of the building represent individual utilisation units. The school building is divided into a structure with the teaching areas, the compartments, and a structure with the multi-purpose room, the specialist rooms and the administration. A central staircase acts as a joint and connecting point. This opens up under a generous canopy to a forecourt and the public street space. The 4+3-grade integrated secondary school was developed as a 4-storey modular timber building with a metal façade. It offers capacity for 25 classes (705 pupils), all the specialist rooms required for a secondary school, administration rooms and inclusion rooms. The 3-class primary school was developed as a 3-storey modular timber building with a timber façade. The primary school offers capacity for 18 classes (468 pupils) including all specific additional rooms. The school building will have a spacious, two-storey canteen. A modern pedagogical concept is made possible by organising the learning areas into individual compartments. Usable corridor zones with generous glazing to the classrooms strengthen flexible and cross-room teaching and offer a high quality of stay for break times. The sports hall will be realised as a two-storey sports hall that can be divided into three sections using a timber system construction. In addition to the large hall and all ancillary rooms, the sports hall will also have a multi-purpose room and a spectator gallery. In addition to school use, the sports hall will also be made available for club sports in the respective city districts. The load-bearing, above-ground construction of the building is made exclusively from wood. Together with the planned high energy standard (BEG KFW EH40) and BNB silver certification, the project will make a major contribution to CO2 savings and sustainable construction. All buildings will be fully barrier-free.
