The so-called "Schnellbauschule" in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district was built in less than a year.

It offers space for 550 pupils. 290 prefabricated wooden modules have been installed, each with floor-to-ceiling windows. Many of the 32 classrooms have a square floor plan and consist of three modules. In addition to the clearly defined floor plan, coloured surfaces – including sunny yellow, turquoise and ultramarine blue – in the common areas and stairwells create eye-catching accents. A central open staircase extends the communication space for users. Three classes can have lessons at the same time in the adjoining sports hall. Cross-laminated timber panels clad with trapezoidal aluminium sheeting and wooden beams form two interlocking structures for the hall and ancillary rooms.
