Compact living in Heilbronn: efficient, modern and sustainable

In the modern residential quarter at Nonnenbuckel in Heilbronn, Kaufmann Building Systems realised an innovative residential building with 45 efficient 2-room flats as part of the NON.K Compact Living concept. Each flat consists of two serially prefabricated timber modules, which were manufactured to the highest quality at the factory in Kalwang and placed just-in-time on the concreted access cores.

The construction time for the turnkey modular building was just eight months. The flats offer a warm atmosphere with exposed wooden surfaces and spacious balconies with great views. A pre-greyed timber façade underlines the sustainable concept and makes the building stand out visually in the neighbourhood. A total of 89 timber modules were used for the building, which provides modern and affordable living on five floors.
