Sustainable logistics centre: Alnatura relies on timber construction

True to Alnatura’s motto “Sensible for people and the planet”, the new Alnatura logistics centre for organic food in Lorsch, Hesse, had to meet high ecological standards. Wood was deliberately chosen as the building material for the supporting structure. On an area of 9,000 m², 32,000 pallet spaces are provided in the 18 metre high building. Ecological construction for sustainable logistics: The logistics centre meets the highest ecological standards and sets an example for environmentally friendly logistics in the food sector with its sustainable construction. Efficient and environmentally friendly: The choice of wood as a building material not only minimises the ecological footprint, but also optimises operational efficiency. This makes an important contribution to protecting people and the planet.
