Salt and wood - the perfect combination
The world’s first high-bay warehouse made of wood impresses with its dimensions: 110 metres long, 22 metres wide and 25 metres high. The 3-aisle facility comprises 12 storeys and stands for innovation and sustainability. Salt and wood – the perfect combination. The chemical combination of NaCl and Hâ‚‚O causes corrosion. Steel therefore requires multiple coatings, while wood requires no additional treatments in this environment. These properties make wood the most economical solution. Efficient construction method: Thanks to the high degree of prefabrication, the warehouse was erected in just 10 weeks. This emphasises the efficiency and precision of the construction concept. This timber construction method combines sustainability and functionality in an impressive way.
