Italy's first high-bay warehouse made entirely of wood.
The South Tyrolean timber construction supplier Rothoblaas has built an impressive high-bay warehouse made entirely of wood at its headquarters in Cortaccia, in the province of Bolzano. With a floor area of 40 m x 80 m and a height of 20 m, the new building offers space for up to 16,500 pallets, which can be stored and retrieved automatically. The load-bearing structure consists of 20 bracing towers made of glulam and LVL, while the racking system is also made of glulam. The entire construction was designed to meet fire resistance class R30. This innovative project doubles the storage capacity at the headquarters and sets new standards in timber construction.
